Join us for a unique and exclusive tour of Old San Juan, focused on the three most important traditions in the historic downtown: RUM, CIGARS, and ESPADRILLES. This tour is exclusively for adults, and will give you an insider's perspective on the cultural highlights of the area.
We will start our tour at Calle Fortaleza, one of the most famous streets in Old San Juan, where we will introduce you to some of the hidden gems in the area. As we walk, we'll provide you with some background on the area's rich history, culture, and traditions.
Our first stop will be an amazing rum distillery that's famous for its "Ron Añejo", which happens to be our favorite rum in the entire city. Here, you'll get to taste several different varieties of rum while learning about San Juan and its culture. You'll also have the chance to pick up some bottles of your favorites to take home as souvenirs.
Next, we'll head to a cigar workshop, where we'll show you the process of cigar making from start to finish. You'll get to taste different qualities of cigars and learn how to spot good quality so that you can confidently buy your own in the future.
After the cigar workshop, we'll take a short walk to an espadrille workshop. Espadrilles are the most traditional shoes from Spanish times, and this workshop is the perfect place to learn about the tradition and even try on some pairs. You'll be able to choose a classic espadrille for yourself, which is included in the tour price. We'll turn the shop into a little party with music and drinks, all included!
Throughout the three-hour tour, you'll have the opportunity to sample traditional drinks, try quality cigars, and get a pair of espadrilles. We'll make sure to keep the atmosphere fun and friendly, so don't hesitate to bring your best smile and interesting stories to share.
